Bugungu airstrip is situated in the southern sector of Murchison falls national park with in Bugungu wildlife reserve in Buliisa district just 26 kilometers from Masindi town, Bugungu airstrip is operated by Aerolink providing flights from Entebbe international airport and kajjansi airstrip. From Bugungu airstrip it is a drive of 35-40 minutes a distance of 32.5 kilometers using Sambiya River Bridge, from the airstrip Uganda airport taxis offering drives to the park and some hotels also provide pickups.
Chobe safari lodge airstrip

NORTHERN SECTOR ENTRANCE GATES
Northern sector entrance gates are more convenient and frequently used by tourists accessing Murchison falls national park via Gulu town and those connecting from kidepo national park, these gates are accessed using Kampala-Pakwach route crossing the mgnificent river Nile using karuma falls bridge situated in the northeastern corner of the park and 260 kilometers from Kampala.

Wankar gate is situated 10 kilometers off the main road near purongo sector
Tangi gate
Tangi gate is situated 110 kilometers from Kara Bridge, this gate is accessed through paraa region and using this gate to get to Murchison falls national park you have to cross River Nile using a ferry.
Mubako gate
Mubako gate is accessed crossing the Nile river using karuma falls bridge which is reached using Kampala – pakwach road.

Kichumbanyobo gate
Kichumbanyobo gate is accessed by a route in kaniyo pabidi forest through Masindi town, kaniyo pabidi forest is situated in the south region of Murchison falls national park and the gate is situated 85 kilometers from Masindi town.
Bugungu gate
Bugungu gate is situated 135 kilometers from Masindi town the largest town near the park, getting to Bugungu gate is a longer route though the most magical and adventurous route as it passes through budongo forest. On this route you also gate spectacular views of Congo Mountains, rift valley and the shores of Lake Albert.
