Day 1 of the 3 days fly in safari to Murchison falls national park

Fly to Murchison falls national park, on the first day of your 3 days fly in safari to Murchison falls national park our driver guide will pick you up and transfer to Entebbe international airport for your domestic flight to Pakuba airstrip. The flight takes about 1 hour and offers aerial views of the vegetation, beautiful scenery among others and upon landing your driver guide will pick you up and transfer to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. After lunch you will go for a game drive in the savannah plains where you will be able to view animals like the elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs among others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge, have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and boat cruise

Game drive, after an early breakfast on the second day of the 3 day fly in safari to Murchison falls national park you will meet up your driver guide and go for another morning game drive which starts at around 7:00am. During the morning game drive where you will follow different tracks in the park such as Buligi game track, Victoria game track, Albert game track among others which harbor abundant wildlife species such as the bushbucks, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, bird species like hornbill, marabou stork, black bellied bustard, open billed stork among others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.

Boat cuise, after lunch you will drive to Paraa landing site for an incredible boat cruise activity on River Nile. during the boat cruise to the bottom of the falls which starts at around 2:00pm and takes about 2 hours ride will give you an opportunity to view the waterfall and cruise meters away from hippos and crocodiles in water, view elephants, buffaloes, warthogs antelopes among others along the water banks drinking water, water bird such as the King fisher’s, Bee-eaters, Herons, cormorants among others. You will cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will either cruise back to the starting point or opt for an adventurous top of the falls hike. Hiking to the top of the falls takes about 45 minutes and is strenuous hence requires you to be physically fit. During hiking you will enjoy water splashes, listen to roars of the water among others and once you reach on top you will find your driver guide waiting for you and then drive to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and departure

Chimpanzee trekking, on the last day of your 3 days fly in safari to Murchison falls national park you will have an early breakfast, meet up with your driver guide and transfer to Budongo forest for chimpanzee trekking. Chimpanzee trekking starts with a briefing about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking at the headquarters and after the briefing you will start trekking in the forest with a park guide who will be sharing information about chimpanzees. Chimpanzee trekking takes 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located and during trekking you will be able to view other primate species like l’hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, bird species, tree species among others.

Once the chimpanzees are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to take photos, record videos and learn more about their habits, behaviors, lifestyles among others. After spending one hour with the chimpanzees you will trek back to the park headquarters, meet up with your driver guide and transfer to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will check out of the lodge and your driver guide will pick you up to transfer to Pakuba airstrip for your departure flight to Entebbe international airport.
