Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Depending on your location on the first day of the 5 days gorillas and white water rafting safari, you will be welcomed by a representative from Achieve Global Safaris who will brief you about the safari and then start the safari to Bwindi impenetrable national park. On the way, you will have a stopover at the Equator where you will be able to take photos, buy souvenirs and then proceed with another stopover for en-route lunch. After lunch, you will continue the journey with great views of the Kigezi hills, beautiful scenery, plantations among others. Upon arrival in Bwindi impenetrable national park, you will check into the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park
Gorilla trekking,
On the second day of the 5 days gorillas and white water rafting safari, you will have an early breakfast, carry your packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the jungle with an experienced park guide which takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on their location. During gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park you will be able to view other wildlife species and once the mountain gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their behaviours, habits, watch them feed, breastfeed, play, groom young ones, take photos and record the breath-taking moments to show people back home after the safari.
After the one hour with the mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the starting point where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and later meet up with your driver guide to return back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala
After an early breakfast on the third day of the 5 days gorillas and white water rafting safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch on the way. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at your hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Jinja-source of the Nile boat ride
On the fourth day of the 5 days gorillas and white water rafting safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Jinja via Mabira forest and Zesibwa fall. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for lunch where after you will go for an amazing boat cruise to the source of the Nile where you will enjoy views of the beautiful scenery, landscape, bird species among others. After the boat cruise, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: White water rafting and departure to Entebbe
After breakfast on the last day of the 5 days gorillas and white water rafting safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for white water rafting which starts with a briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations. After the briefing, you will start the rating experience which has different grades ranging from grade 1 to grade 5 and after rafting, you will later meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Entebbe. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of advice.
