The 5 days Jinja and Murchison falls safari will take you to the largest and most visited national park in Uganda. Murchison falls national park is located in northwestern region and harbors abundant wildlife species including the big four mammals which are the elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes and other animals like the giraffes, waterbucks, Jackson’s hartebeest, Uganda kobs among others. During your safari you will also visit Jinja where you will engage in white water rafting, bungee jumping, quad biking among others on Itanda falls, boat cruise on the source of the lake among others.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1 of the 5 days Jinja and Murchison falls safari
Transfer to Jinja, depending on the time of arrival on day 1 of the 5 days Jinja and Murchison falls safari you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will give you a short briefing about your safari and then start the journey to Jinja. on your way you will have en-route and a stopover in Mabira forest where you will engage in zip lining an adventurous activity that takes about 4 hours or nature forest walk where you will be able to view various primate species such as the red tailed monkeys, grey cheeked Mangabey and various bird species such as the Great blue turaco, purple throated cuckoo shrike, cassin’s hawk eagle, hornbills, tree species among others.
From Mabira forest you will continue Jinja for the evening boat ride on the source of the Nile which takes about 1 to 2 hours and during the boat cruise you will be able to view various bird species such as the king fishers, cormorants and animals like the monitor lizards, crocodiles along the shores and enjoy the spectacular sunset in the evening among others. After the boat cruise you will meet up with your driver guide and transfer to the lodge, check in, have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: transfer to itanda falls
After breakfast on day 2 of the 5 days Jinja and Murchison falls safari you will meet up you’re your driver guide and transfer to Itanda falls which offers interesting activities like bungee jumping, horse riding, quad biking, sport fishing, jet boating among others. Upon arrival you will go for a briefing at the starting point for quad biking where you will be trained on how quad biking is done. Quad biking is an incredible activity that takes about 4 hours gives you an opportunity to explore the local communities, forests, farms, view children in the village running around, women washing and fetching water among others which gives you a lifetime experience on your safari. After Quad biking, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
White water rafting, after lunch you will go for a thrilling and exciting white water rafting activity which is done by use of a small paddle raft filled with air and with a trained guide. During white water rafting the raft will navigate rapids on River Nile and it’s done according to grades which range from grade 1 to grade 5 and at the end of each grade the guide will ask you if you want to proceed to the next grade. White water rafting is an adventurous activity that will give you unforgettable memories on your safari and after the activity you will meet up with your driver guide and drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Murchison falls national park.
After an early breakfast on day 3 of the 5 days Jinja and Murchison falls safari you will check out of the lodge and start the journey to Murchison falls national park which is the largest and most visited national park in Uganda. You will have en-route lunch on the way and upon arrival in the park you will drive directly to the top of the falls where you will have spectacular views of the animals, waterfall, bird species, plant species among others. After the top of the falls drive you will drive to the lodge check in, have dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Game drive and boat cruise
Game drive, after an early breakfast on day 4 of the 5 days Jinja and Murchison falls safari you will meet up with your driver guide and go for the morning game drive which will start at around 7:00am following game tracks such as Buligi, Victoria, Albert among others. During the game drive you will get an opportunity of viewing various animals in the park such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, waterbucks, warthogs, antelopes, leopards among others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge to have lunch.
Boat cruise, after lunch you will go for an afternoon boat cruise on River Nile. The boat cruise is an exciting and one of the popular activities in the park that takes about 2 hours and offers you with great views of various animals such as the elephants, buffaloes, antelopes on the water shores, hippos and crocodiles in water and some water birds. The boat will continues to the bottom of the falls where you will have beautiful views of the waterfall and you can also participate in an optional hiking to the top of the falls. Hiking to the top of the falls is an interesting and adventurous activity that takes about 45 minutes but needs you to be physically fit and during hiking you will enjoy water plashes, views of birds, scenery among others. When you reach the top of the falls you will meet up with your driver guide and then drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Rhino tracking and departure
On day 5 of the 5 days Jinja and Murchison falls safari you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Kampala. On your way you will have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will get an opportunity of viewing the endangered rhinos at the sanctuary. After Rhino tracking your will continue the journey with en-route lunch and upon arrival your driver guide will drop you at any place of convenience or at Entebbe airport for your next flight.
